Five Farms Glazed Donuts

Ingredients

Donuts

  • 2 cups | All-purpose Flour
  • ½ cup | White Sugar
  • Tbsp. | Baking Powder
  • tsp. | Salt
  • ¼ tsp. | Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 dash | Ground Nutmeg
  • Tbsp. | Melted Butter
  • ½ cup | Five Farms Irish Cream Liqueur
  • 1 | Egg (beaten)
  • 1 quart | Oil for Frying

Glaze

  • 4 cups | Confectionery Sugar (sifted)
  • ⅛ tsp. | Salt
  • 2 tsp. | Vanilla Extract
  • 10 – 12 Tbsp. | Five Farms Irish Cream Liqueur

How to Make

Donuts

  1. Heat oil in a deep-fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  2. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl.

  3. Mix in butter until crumbly.

  4. Stir in Five Farms Irish Cream Liqueur and egg until smooth.

  5. Knead lightly, then turn out onto a lightly floured surface.

  6. Roll or pat to 1/4-inch thickness.

  7. Cut with a doughnut cutter, or use two round biscuit cutters of different sizes.

  8. Lay doughnuts in hot oil, a few at a time. (Do not overcrowd the pan, or oil may overflow. Fry, turning once, until golden, about 3 minutes.)

  9. Drain on paper towels.

Glaze

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl until smooth. (Add more Five Farms Irish Cream Liqueur or confectionery sugar to achieve the desired consistency.)
  2. Pour glaze over the donuts.
